The Inner Eyes of Cosmos

Fareed Zakaria did an hour-long interview with Billy Joel back in May of this year. The focus was on his creative technique of song writing through connecting to his inner voice. (exactly what we were talking about in our creative writing group)

“There’s an element of alchemy in making music, almost a sorcery of magic that I don’t necessarily understand, but I know that it moves me.”

~Billy Joel

I’m feeling constrained in describing this ‘magic‘, its profound essence, through the written word. It’s at the core of Life, all and everything reaching for this inner, universal guide. Its neural purpose: universality bound in what exists for individual human connection.

“I am feeling, hearing, and seeing in its voice . . . our task is to tune into it.”

There may be evolutionary limits in the human genetic pool, but I feel the presence of this inner connectivity is universal. The evolutionary purpose of human life: expanding consciousness towards a greater access to this awesome potential that is at the source of All—a given in the core of Life’s universal alignment.

I see it as a process of coming apart in death, or is it a breaking open, so as to continue to learn how to reunite universally in connected form.

The future of the Sun Star and its planetary evolutions will end in its blowing apart, scattered again in the story of Galaxies—the birth/death cycle.

A Sun Star with a life span and an Earth-like planet suitable for sustaining life, as we have as our home, is yet to be found. This may be unique in the totality of the Cosmos. A spectacular combination created specifically to provide human beings with what is needed to develop and serve a greater purpose.

Here is our task: awakening to the respect required, a responsibility to the survival and conscious development of Cosmic Intelligence—vision for the eyes of The Cosmos.  This may be something unique that only humans can do. So, here comes what may well be our cosmic purpose . . . to develop this “spiritual” envisioning.

Seeing with the mind is something we can all learn to do. In service to Cosmic Intelligence, and being part of that intelligence. Our human psyche is nourished as well by feeling universally connected with functioning creativity—learning how to think as citizens of The Cosmos.

There are many complexities beyond ability alone; for example the conditions in the ongoing challenge of unification within the awareness of a global community and its present circumstances. Through accessing this cosmic awareness we may find a way to kill the killing

In the immediate, it can provide a healthy context for our visions of life’s continuous experience of facing change.

It would be wise to take a humble seat in hope’s chair and revisit how we are perceiving Time—seeing in a new light, beyond our scope, embracing the opportunities that come to us through self-giving, through the practice of integrity and rational humility.

One may choose to envision this as the nature and character of seeing into the activity of Cosmos in Its task of returning to Itself.
